location
With some of the most untouched areas of the river being situated between Waikerie and Wentworth, what better place could there be to take a Houseboat Holiday? Liba Liba Houseboats are situated in the middle of this natural habitat.
Cruising up river you will see cliffs and bush land with also a very good chance of seeing Kangaroos or Emus drinking at the waters edge. Within 2 klm’s down stream of our mooring you will be in the largest Koala Sanctuary in South Australia.
These beautiful marsupials can be seen at times from the deck of your boat. There are also numerous water birds, parrots etc. for you to view and photograph.
LIBA LIBA HOUSEBOATS BIRD LIST
This list includes bird species to be found between Renmark, SA and Wentworth, NSW along 162 miles of the River Murray. All species were observed within 500 meters of the riverbank and many can be seen from a moving houseboat without too much effort.
The list was compiled during the summer months only and is therefore incomplete as winter migrants have not been noted at this stage. Any competent observer able to add to this list should let someone at the Liba Liba office know about their observations at the completion of their trip.
